SSE Holds an Online Training Session on "Promotion of the STAR Market and Interpretation of QFII Policies"
Recently, in order to further deepen the opening-up of the capital market and help foreign investors better grasp China's investment opportunities, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) successfully held an online training session titled "Promotion of the STAR Market and Interpretation of QFII Policies". This training attracted 73 institutions including sovereign wealth funds, asset management firms, securities companies, and custodian banks from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe and other regions, and more than 100 representatives actively participated. The training covered three key topics: one is to systematically explain the development achievements and investment advantages of the STAR Market in recent years; the second is to deeply interpret the relevant policies of QFII and answer the questions of foreign investors in policy understanding and practical operation on the spot; the third is to introduce in detail the process of QFII qualification application and related custody services.
In recent years, the SSE has continuously optimized its international investor service system and enhanced service capabilities. Through various initiatives, it has actively showcased the development trends and latest policies of the SSE's stock, bond, fund, and derivatives markets to international investors, steadily bridging the gap with global investment institutions. This training marked the second event in the SSE's “Focus on SSE” virtual roadshow series in 2025 and represents one of SSE's concrete efforts to serve international investors. Looking ahead, the SSE will continue to proactively enhance the depth and breadth of its services for international investors, effectively narrate the story of China's capital market, further foster mutual understanding and trust, strengthen exchanges and collaborations, expand areas of cooperation, and advance high-level two-way opening of the capital market.
